About

At the age of 17, Owain Felstead is an exciting new talent, rapidly emerging from the heart of the South Wales Valleys. Taking influence from the likes of Lauv, Zayn and Khalid, he is making his way to the forefront of pop music in Wales. Already exceeding 1 million streams for the second single, Clover, he self-released in December 2018, he is seeing Spotify success on playlists such as ‘Alone Again’ (1.3M followers). He earned himself a place as one of ten acts to be developed by the Forte Project in 2019 which has already gained him several radio airplays on the Bethan Elfyn Show, and the Adam Walton show on BBC Radio Wales. All four of his released songs receive regular airtime on local and internet radio stations. With a catalogue of tracks ready to release, 2019 is looking to be a promising year. Owain’s live act is exciting and innovative, mixing samples and live sounds, with producer Rhys Griffiths using launchpads and sample pads to bring the song to the stage. Together they explore a live sound that is much less common within Wales.
